Marina Rinaldi Concept Store

An interior for clothes. This in short is the leading concept which lies behind the development of the new Marina Rinaldi image. Where the word INTERIOR holds all the values of inhabiting, staying, and living in closed spaces.

Abandoning superstructures and containers, clothes find their own light, free habitat, and return to become the absolute stars within an environment with strong contemporary connotations.

It is a continuous game of contrasts: cold materials alongside traditional woods, rough plaster and highly polished surfaces, rich crafted finishes contrasted by shiny steel supports, continuous sequences of clothes with sudden interruptions.

The whole new material range revolves around the choice to bring a material which is dear to the “furniture” tradition back onto the scene: natural walnut. A warm wood, able to evoke the feeling of cosiness and sophisticated domesticity.

And alongside the natural warmth of the walnut, shiny reflecting steels, which run around the space with rectangular profiles to create continuous hang-rails, around the perimeter. A carefully studied set of luminaires helps to dematerialise this part of the furniture and, becoming evanescent, leaves the field free for the clothes, the true stars of this new environment.

The colour range of the space is enriched with a new shade: antique dove grey. A colour shade with powdered effect which however manages to play off all the other surfaces and materials in the design environment. The Venetian plaster spatula finish, also borrowed from the more usual tradition of “decor” once again find renewed contemporaneity in the contrast of the shiny steel mechanical supports.

The seats in all the interiors are characterised by essential shapes with shiny steel profiles and are represented in the “rooms” by two different materials:
- a rich cotton and linen velvet in a feminine wisteria shade, a make up nuance, soft and inviting,
- a neutral technical calfskin leather in a very sophisticated dove beige, with evident saddle stitching, once again respecting the greatest leather craft traditions.

The light is modelled to ensure that it plays its primary role with top precision. To exalt the product and the surfaces which it touches.
